Richard B. Cheney is an American businessman, public servant and politician. Cheney was a well-known name on the Washington political scene. George W. Bush was his 4th U.S. President. Bush named Cheney as his vice-presidential running mate in the year 2000 due to Cheney's intelligence and judgment. Dick Cheney, who served the United States as Secretary and Chief of Staff during the presidency as well as in Congress was a stellar service to the nation. Cheney is a man with integrity and has earned the respect of both Republicans and Democrats. Cheney is of the opinion that his work within the Bush Administration will be to be an open and discrete adviser. Cheney declared his delight at taking the Republican vice-presidential nomination. He stated that the future is bright for him working with a leader who can work together with people of differing political opinions and who share shared objectives. Richard Bruce Cheney born Jan 30th 1941 Lincoln Nebraska, the son Richard Herbert Cheney the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. At the age of 13, Richard Bruce and his family moved to Casper (in Wyoming, the State of Wyoming) which is where his father worked as the Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's land conservation districts.
