April Lockhart
April Lockhart was born on July 4th, 1995. in seventh grade. She began playing guitar and taking piano lessons, sparking her passion for writing songs. In April, when she was 12 years old, she composed her first single, Different. When April was 14 years old, she spent an enormous amount of time developing song ideas and perfecting the music. Then, in the following months, April began traveling with her father and write either in NY or LA. April began to include other relevant topics into the song, which she called the Take my Hand song for some friends, such as peer-pressure disabilities and teen suicide. Lockhart also has an ever-growing popularity as a lifestyle influencer as well as a spokesperson for the popular brand of clean and natural beauty Ilia. Born without a left hand, Lockhart is a major part of herself. It's however not the entire tale. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook the fact that she has a disability. It also doesn't make it a point to emphasize the issue. The message? The message? That we are all multifaceted, and that our physical and identity self aren't as they seem. Lockhart in a video message sent from her Nashville home, says that I do not want my physical appearance to define myself. I'm greater than the physical person I am. This doesn't have any effect on my everyday life. I go about everything normally and I've found the best way for me to adapt to things. This is also part of my life, and I think it's something that needs to be addressed. Lockhart is a huge source of inspiration for her female friends in the area of acceptance of oneself. Yet, she confesses having moments that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance, and the clothes with arms. She wears whatever she wants and is proud to post pictures of herself dressed in outfits she picks out on social platforms. Self-love she said is a kind of journey. "I believe that you'll ever get there," she said. It's true for all regardless of level of insecurity. I think it is important to surround yourself with people who can really understand your.
