Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
My child played around in a playpen while I was working 12-hour shifts in sanding floors as well as removing the wallpaper. Ha! We were getting closer to being done, yet we were a long way off. For furnishing the space would be an enormous undertaking with regards to budget and time. It was also going to be a challenge to go out and shop for my most-loved items. In order to stay the cost within my means I took my kids along with me as I searched for treasures in estate sales. It was our weekly routine of walking around garage sales and auctions on Saturday and Sunday and purchase a range of furniture, both new and old created. My work days were spent on the drive working on painting or sanding. Furniture looked this way... which is where I got my passion for restoration. When our house was completed, I was unable to quit! Markets in town had room for me to market my items. My collection eventually grew enough that the area I had was not enough. My home became a place in which I held open houses, where up to 1,000 people could view items from my first floor before purchasing them. My venture Growing Days began here. My business was booming, but my family was also growing. As a mom of a child I was able to find the perfect balance to both start my own company and being a decent mother. Growing Days seemed like the ideal match. The year 2013 was the year my daughter Nora became our fourth child. I loved where my business was going, but I wanted a break. I took some time away from furniture that was vintage to enjoy more quality time with my children. This was just what I was looking for. However after a few months without a phone, it began to ring. I was getting messages from individuals asking for help in home improvement and design of interiors. The majority of them were the ones who had strolled through my property during furniture open houses! After that, I gradually took on more clients, at my own speed. Soon I had multiple clients, and had a business of home renovations. I'm sure you would have made me laugh if you had said that this would become the basis of a DIY Network tv series. Actually, I smile slightly when I recall the episode.
