Laura Linney has been hailed as one of America's most popular actors. She is known as a strong actress who are as vulnerable. Her father was a celebrated playwright, but she was raised as an all-only child by a single mom and nurse. Through the summer months, while with her dad Linney was able to develop a passion for the theatre. Her first stage experience was first in Brown University then at Juilliard School. Her Broadway career shortly after graduating after which she made her TV debut in the next year. Since then, she's performed in many films and TV and stage productions. Over the course of her career, she won many awards, including two Golden Globe Awards. Although she received many awards through the years, performing has always been her first passion.
